LOST IN THE 90s

I have been watching a lot of Boys II Men and Kc&Jojo songs lately, reminiscing my childhood, I grew up listening to these songs and to date I know each song word for word!I stumbled upon some retro sunglasses yesterday, they reminded me so much of these bands.

Full outfit…

The high waist mom jeans have been trending for some time now, this is the closest to them I have…

they were also very common in the 90s especially the stone wash jeans like the one below...

Every time I see these, I think of pot, I guess it is the association it has had with hippies. The sunglasses... the head scarf was to add an old school feel to the look...

And to glam it up, I wore cheetah print two tone flats...

Blessed week!

A hint of Zebra...

Animal prints have been trending for some time now. Cheetah and zebra prints are my favorite. I wore this vintage zebra print coat to add some 'oomf' to an otherwise ordinary outfit, then blue cropped jeans and brown wedges from forever 21

Given the chilly weather today, this coat was perfect. It’s heavily suited for the cold. Here is closer look at the coat

The 'vavavum' purse, this just does it for any outfit, the color, the make…

My rings, aren’t the kissing birds just so cute?! I’m currently obsessed with double rings(joint rings worn on two fingers like this one on the left) I love beaded african jewelry hence the little beaded ring which i got 7 years ago.

The charm bracelet, I love all the little pearls and thingies on it...

And finally the brown wedges and the cropped jeans..

Have a great week

Flower power!

My good people I must tell you, I have been dreaming, breathing and fantasizing of my fashion-filled future. There is so much I want to achieve, so great that I want to be, the best damn, blessed thing in the fashion industry, both here and beyond! I have been having an overflow of amazing-ness from my inner core. My ambitions have been my driving force lately. Looking and wanting that hands-on experience. I want to get there and be there! I am at that point in life, starting out my journey to greatness, it is like a taste of heaven! No other words can describe this amazing feeling! Anyone close to me knows I’ve been on an ambition high!

In current news, the sun was out with a mission today, I wore a floral skirt, a mustard vest…

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love this skirt. It’s so cute, and can be paired into several outfits! This skirt is like a cloth BFF to me, always there when I need it! here’s closer look at the skirt…

Am still on my ambition-high, greatness is calling out to me!

Watch this space!

KITENGE FEST

Sorry for the extremely long hiatus!i must shamefully say that I do not even have a reason! I attended the kitenge festival this past weekend that was at the Village Market. The dress code was obviously something kitenge. In obedience o this,I wore  a kitenge pencil skirt,a denim shirt and wedges and my favorite cream structured bag..

I went for this look coz I’ve never seen it anywhere before in the blogs or anything and I like to do my own thing! Trendsetter nayo (I kid) but really the weather has been pretty unpredictable lately, one time the sun is out, next time it's raining cats and dogs! the denim shirt is pretty heavy,so just in case it rained or got cold i was ok.

There were a couple of designers showcasing and these are some of my favorite…i loved the bow detail on the head, the detail on the dress, this right here is creativity at it's best!

I loved the hair detail on this model, be expecting this soon as i learn how to

my favorite designer was Marion of SERASERA
here are some of her looks, i admire out of the box creativity from designers, those outfits that you can't possibly imagine, the avant garde type

And once again my people always look fabulous!

Concours D'elegance

I attended the annual Concours D’elegance yesterday. It is French for Classic Car Show. The ladies always come dressed up in classy outfits for this event. I went for a vintage African woman look with a twist. I wore a denim shirt, yellow pleated skirt, a turban and wedges. The wedges were great for the grass and walking around, they are super comfy.

I accessorized with a colorful turban, sunglasses and my cream structured bag...

the structured bag...

I saw this car a 1974 Alpha Romeo and I saw myself in it, with this outfit the car roof pulled down, cruising down the road!!
This cute Waltburg equally matched my outfit(hehe)

I am a natural born driver, I was meant for these wheels…

As always my people came looking amazing! Julie in a ruffled layered lace top and green pencil skirt and black oxfords…
